Arch Manning’s highly anticipated debut as the undisputed starting quarterback for Texas was an ugly one.
Manning, the most hyped signal-caller in the nation, faced No. 2 Ohio State in Columbus on Saturday. His struggles came early; he could not find rhythm and quickly lost confidence as the national champions snuffed out the Texas offense for the entire game.
Manning, of course, took all the blame, and an AI-generated FAKE Twitter/X video in which a likeness of the Longhorns QB admitting he’s not all that good while referencing suspicions of Ryan Day’s nipple piercing has gone viral.
Check it out below:
“Some of your best work yet,” one user claimed.
“What’s funny is that Ryan Day does actually pierce his nipples lol,” another laughed.
“I’m the white Bronny James” 😂😂.. So f**kin’ true,” said another.
“The Mountain West remark is uncalled for,” one sore user declared.
Arch Manning Largely Ineffective Against Ohio State
Arch Manning had a season opener to forget against Ryan Day’s team, throwing just one touchdown when the game was already out of reach in the fourth quarter. He completed just 17 of 30 passes in the 14-7 loss, underthrowing a pass into double coverage for a third-quarter interception.
Texas didn’t score until the dying embers, which has raised serious questions regarding whether Manning is ready, with folks also questioning the offensive scheme built around him.
Maybe this was just a one-off. Manning will be back in action against SJSU next weekend; he cannot afford a similar outing.
